CIDELY: An Effective Fungicide for Plant Protection

CIDELY is a fungicide developed by Syngenta for the protection of plants from fungal diseases. The product is effective against a range of diseases, including powdery mildew, rust, leaf spots, and brown rot.

Ingredients

CIDELY contains the active ingredients fluopyram (6.5 %) and difenoconazole (24 %). Fluopyram is a systemic fungicide that is taken up by plants and then attacks the fungal cell membranes. Difenoconazole is a contact fungicide that works on the leaf surface and prevents fungi from forming new cells.

Mode of action

CIDELY acts synergistically, meaning that the two active ingredients complement each other in their action and achieve a better effect than either active ingredient alone. Fluopyram penetrates the plant and protects it from fungal diseases from the inside out. Difenoconazole works on the leaf surface and prevents fungi from infecting the plant.

Application

CIDELY is applied as a foliar spray. The dosage depends on the crop and the disease to be treated. In general, CIDELY is applied once a week or every 14 days.
